At our
recent and very well attended meeting, the PTFA discussed lots of
fundraising ideas which would help pay for future projects.
One
idea that really interested us was the possibility of bringing out a termly
publication which would not only inform parents of what the PTFA would be up
to each term but would also include a large classified section that would
give you, the parents, the chance to advertise your businesses to all the
other parents at the school. There would be a small charge of £10, which
would obviously go towards funding projects for our children.
With
every family receiving one of these booklets, you would be sure that
information about your product or service would reach hundreds of families
in your neighbourhood with which you have something in common – membership
of the Bowhill family and the sense of trust that goes with that. You would
also know that your money was going to help to improve the environment in
which our children spend their days. It really is a win-win situation!
If you
are interested in this great opportunity, there are several ways this can be
done.
- You
can email the text of your advert with an idea of the font you wish to use
and possibly include an image as a jpg attachment
- Or
just email the basic information you wish to be included and we shall
conjure up something special for you (See our fantastic examples!)
-
Alternatively, you could pass your idea on a piece of paper into the
office yourself or via your child, and again, we can create a suitable
advert.
To
send your advert or your ideas for one, or if you need any advice regarding
advertising, email awardknott@bowhill.devon.sch.uk
The
advertising boxes are approximately 65mm x 65mm. The amount of text and the
inclusion of an image are entirely up to you, as long as we can fit them
into the available space. When the publication is complete, we shall email
or send a hard copy to you for your approval.

Your
payment of £10 could either be made as cash or in the form of a cheque made
out to Friends of Bowhill and this would need to be passed in to the
office.
Do
remember, it might not actually be your own business that you are
advertising. Have a word with your boss and see if he or she is interested
in putting in an advert. If they’re nice enough for you to want to work for
them – then they’re nice enough for us!!
Hopefully we can bring you the first issue of The Bowhill Bugle before the
end of term. Please give this a go if you can – we think that it will not
only benefit you, but also all of our children. |
